CONSPIROLOGY is an educational role-playing game that serves as the dynamic cornerstone of the project’s activities. Students will engage in the game across two phases: initially, in the PLAY THE CONSPIRACY phase, they will participate from their respective universities, deepening the expertise and focus specific to their institution. In the final REPLAY THE CONSPIRACY phase, which takes place during the mobility period, students will gather at the University of Torino, where they will tackle a broader range of topics and navigate increased complexity.
But what exactly is CONSPIROLOGY? The game envisions that in each participating country, a Game Master will present a fictional narrative scenario tied to the conspiracy theme addressed by the partner university. Students will then be tasked with developing a conspiracy narrative based on the proposed scenario. To facilitate this, participants will be divided into three groups: the "conspiracy theorists," whose role is to construct the conspiracy narrative; the "debunkers," charged with critiquing and challenging the theory; and the "judges," who will assess the arguments for and against the conspiracy theory and determine the winning group by assigning points. Throughout this phase, a tutor will guide the students, offering assistance with any difficulties that may arise. CONSPIROLOGY aims to explore how a conspiracy theory is born, spreads, reproduces, and takes root, while reflecting on the best tools to foster aware and evidence-based knowledge.
